We're building the digital backbone of education in Bangladesh
Shakkhar was born from a simple belief: every educational institution in Bangladesh — from village madrasahs to city colleges — deserves world-class software.
Our Mission
To put a world-class digital operating system in the hands of every educational institution in Bangladesh — regardless of size, budget, or technical ability — so educators can spend their time teaching, not paperwork.
Our Vision
A Bangladesh where every school, college, madrasah, and Hifz institution runs on modern digital infrastructure — where guardians are always informed, data drives decisions, and no student falls through the cracks.
Why Bangladesh needs digital education infrastructure
Bangladesh has one of the largest education systems in the world, yet most institutions still run on paper registers and manual processes. The cost isn't just time — it's missed insights, delayed communication, and educators buried in administration instead of teaching.
- Attendance registers that take hours and get lost
- Result tabulation done by hand, prone to errors
- Guardians who only learn about problems at year-end
- Fee records scattered across notebooks and memory
- Reports for boards and ministries built from scratch every time
Shakkhar exists to change this — one institution at a time.
Built by people who watched schools drown in paper
Shakkhar began with a simple observation: the teachers and administrators running Bangladesh's schools and madrasahs are extraordinary — but the tools they were given belong to another century. Attendance in registers, results on calculators, fees in notebooks, and guardians left in the dark.
The software that did exist was built for other countries and other systems. Nothing understood an Alia madrasah's curriculum, a Qawmi institution's structure, or a Hifz student's para-by-para progress. Nothing sent SMS in Bangla. Nothing worked the way Bangladesh works.
So we built it ourselves — sitting with principals, accountants, and teachers, mapping their real workflows into software that feels effortless. Today, Shakkhar is the digital backbone of hundreds of institutions, and we're just getting started.
Our journey so far
From paper registers to one intelligent platform — the story behind Shakkhar’s landing promise: digitize every school and madrasah in Bangladesh.
Paper everywhere
Attendance in registers, fees in notebooks, results on calculators — and guardians hearing about problems only at year-end.
Made for Bangladesh
We designed Shakkhar around local schools, colleges, English medium, Alia & Qawmi madrasahs, and Hifz institutions — not foreign templates.
Daily work goes digital
Student records, attendance with SMS, exams & results, and fee collection — the jobs every institution does every day.
One platform, many roles
Admins, teachers, accountants, and guardians each see what they need — cloud-based, secure, and easy enough to learn in a day.
More than the basics
Admissions, reports, website, ID cards, and more joined the same system — so you stop juggling separate tools.
